We welcome your suggestions for titles that you would like to find at the library. Please provide us with as much information as possible below. Our librarians will carefully consider each suggestion in accordance with the Santa Clara County Library District Selection Policy.
Suggestions are reviewed daily, Monday - Friday, and items selected for purchase usually appear in the catalog within 2-4 weeks. Due to high volume, we are unable to respond individually to each suggestion.
Please note: for specialized, technical, or out-of-print materials, you may wish to consider using Interlibrary Loan (ILL), a cooperative borrowing agreement among libraries. There is a $4.00 non-refundable search/processing fee for each title requested. If you want to consider this option please provide us with your email address and we will contact you after your suggestion has been reviewed. Newer items (i.e., published within the last twelve months) and most audio-visual materials are not available through ILL.
This service is intended for the use of library customers and is not for solicitations or other commercial purposes.
In some cases we may purchase the item but may be unable to place the hold (e.g. the format does not accept holds, the patron already has 12 items on hold). In these instances you may try to place the hold once the item appears in the library catalog. Note: eAudiobooks and eBooks will not be placed on hold.
