Author of The Missing Kennedy Visits Santa Clara County Libraries

Elizabeth Koehler-PentacoffWell-known author and memoirist Elizabeth Koehler-Pentacoff will be visiting the Gilroy and Saratoga Libraries to talk about her book The Missing Kennedy
In The Missing Kennedy, Elizabeth Koehler-Pentacoff shares memories of Rosemary Kennedy, the younger sister of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, and describes the life she lived following a failed experimental medical procedure in 1941 at the age of 23.  Mentally disabled from birth, Rosemary’s father, Joseph Kennedy, ordered his daughter lobotomized, and then kept from her family and the public eye for over 20 years. The Missing Kennedy
Koehler-Pentacoff’s book offers a rare look into Rosemary’s life through insights by the author’s Aunt Stella Koehler who also happened to be Rosemary’s main caregiver for more than 35 years.  The author talk will feature numerous photos of Rosemary and the famous Kennedy family.
