Earth Day: Silicon Valley Clean Energy with Saratoga City Councilman Howard Miller
Saturday, April 22, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saratoga Library's Community Room

Did you know a new electricity provider option is available to you that has both economic and environmental advantages? Join Saratoga City Councilman and Silicon Valley Clean Energy Board member Howard Miller for a discussion on this new energy option open to residents of Saratoga and 11 other communities in Santa Clara County.
Community Choice Energy (CCE) is an opportunity to change the electricity market and provide residents and businesses with a new choice. A CCE agency functions as a new electricity provider, and is entirely locally operated and administered. The new agency buys power on the open market, encouraging the kind of competition that can result in more renewable energy sources contributing to the energy grid at lower rates.
Twelve communities have passed local ordinances to join SVCE, including the Cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and the County of Santa Clara (unincorporated county areas). The exhibit and all programs are free and open to the public.
