Cupertino Library Performing Arts Series: PAMPA Dance Academy

Cupertino Library and the Cupertino Library Foundation are proud to welcome the PAMPA Dance Academy to Cupertino Community Hall on Saturday October 1st at 4:30 pm in our third program of the Fall Performing Arts Series. Nirmala Madhava and the students of PAMPA Dance Academy will present both Kathak and Bharathanatyam dance forms. The show will consist of dance pieces that praise the Indian Gods as well as celebrate the Indian culture and tradition. 
Nirmala Madhava is the chief choreographer at PAMPA Dance Academy. She began dancing at age eight, and has a B.A. in dance from Bangalore University, India. Ms. Madhava also studied and mastered the Lucknow Gharana style of Kathak dance from Dr. Maya Rao of Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography in Bangalore, India and is proficient in both Bharatha Natyam and Kathak dance forms. She is a master solo-performer and choreographer who has trained dancers all over the world.

Please return for more Indian dancing at our Diwali celebration on Saturday October 22nd at 2:00 pm when we host Festival of Lights: Flavor of India Music and Dance Showcase. Many local dance school students and professional dancers and musicians will be featured performers.
