Judge Me By My Cover image
Have you ever looked at a book cover, and thought "I could do better than that!"? If so, show us your talents in our book cover redesign contest! Pick a favorite book (or even one you don't like), and create a cover that really represents the story inside. Winners will receive a $25 gift card, and and will also have their "new" cover featured on the book at the library.

Contest Rules:

  1. Open to anyone in 7th - 12th grades
  2. The book has to be a Teen book found in the Teen Area at your library.
  3. Submit your art with your name, grade, and a phone number and/or email on the back.
  4. One submission per person.
  5. Art in any form is allowed (consider drawing, painting, collage, digital . . .). But keep it book-cover-sized. No artwork over the size 6x9 inches will be accepted. If you have digital art visit our website at www.sccl.org/Teens/Contests to submit your entry. Make sure it's in a jpg or other format we can open!
  6. Judging will be based on overall creativity and how well the cover expresses the book it represents.
  7. All art will be displayed in the Teen area for two weeks after the contest; it will then be available to pick up at the Information Desk.
  8. The contest will be open from June 1st until July 31st. All entries turned in after July 31st will not be accepted.

Good luck, and have fun!
