Solve the Streets - Teen Video Challenge

Teens ages 13 - 19! Silicon Valley grows more and more congested with traffic every day. With a steady influx of new residents, commuters, and students, the streets are clogged with traffic.

Mayor Barry Chang challenges all teens ages 13 – 19 to take on the role of a policy maker and:
A) Analyze the current Silicon Valley traffic situation
B) Research effective ways to improve Silicon Valley traffic
C) Create a 5 – 10 minute video proposing an innovative yet realistic solution that can improve transportation in the Silicon Valley.

Timeline

  • Contest Opens: Friday, December 11th 2015 @ 10:00 am PST
  • Deadline to Enter: Sunday, January 17th 2016 @ 11:59 pm PST

Eligibility

  • This contest is open to anyone ages 13 – 19.

Prizes

  • 1st place – $300
  • 2nd place – $200
  • 3rd place – $100
  • The top three scoring projects will also receive special recognition by Cupertino Mayor Barry Chang during an award ceremony.

Project Submission Deadline is Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 11:59pm
