National Voter Registration Day 2018

Are you registered to vote in the upcoming 2018 election? Tuesday, September 25 is National Voter Registration Day, and your community library is committed to making it easier to register before the deadline for the November election. Each SCCLD library will have a table with voter registration forms and volunteers to help answer any questions. If you turned 18 recently, changed your name, moved, or haven’t voted in recent elections, take this opportunity to update your voter registration. First-time voters are particularly encouraged to register.

16 and 17 year olds can also pre-register to vote! That way, you will be automatically registered to vote on your 18th birthday.

In California, the deadline to register to vote for any election is 15 days before Election Day, so please register early! This year, your registration must be postmarked or submitted electronically by October 22, 2018.

You can also check your registration status, find out your California Legislature and Congressional districts, or volunteer to work at the polls on Election Day by checking the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters website.

Register. Vote. Be Heard.
