Mental Health Resource Fair at Gilroy Library - Saturday, May 19

Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month? Please join us on Saturday, May 19 from 10am-4pm at the Gilroy Library for Mindquest, a mental health resource fair with free activities for all ages. Visit resource tables from local organizations, take part in our arts and crafts for families, or enjoy yoga classes for adults and kids. Other activities include chair massages, adult coloring for mindfulness, and lectures in English and Spanish on various mental health topics.

Mindquest has something for everyone. Learn how to better manage your emotions and improve your relationships with others at Dr. Nick Fortino’s talk on emotional intelligence. Bring your little ones to a reading by children’s author Kathryn Otoshi. Have you or someone you love experienced stress or emotional trauma? Learn more about this difficult topic and develop coping skills at Nicole Steward’s presentation on Stress, Trauma & Mindfulness. Whether you come for a massage, a yoga class, or to learn more about mental health, we look forward to seeing you at Mindquest!

See the full list of events and times on Gilroy Library's event calendar for May 19, 2018.

The library has a wealth of materials available about mental wellness. You can also check out resources with helpful information about Anxiety and Depression.
This project was made possible due to a grant that Gilroy Library received and is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
