PlaneTree provides relevant and reliable health and medical information so you can make healthy choices about your life and informed decisions about your health. Our expert, caring librarians and volunteers will work one-on-one with you to locate the information you need. Our resources include –

PlaneTree Health Information Center opened in October, 2011. The Center is a partnership between Santa Clara County Library District and PlaneTree.
PlaneTree has provided health information to the public in two prior locations since opening in 1989. An independent, nonprofit community service, PlaneTree relies on contributions from patrons, community members, and organizations. We also appreciate the support of our dedicated volunteers. Excellent information on common adult health concerns has been carefully selected by PlaneTree’s knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Each topic’s coverage is divided into five categories of links: Introduction, Daily Life (self-care and coping tips), Treatment & Therapy, Being a Savvy Consumer, and Books & More.
MedlinePlus is the premier health and medical website for the public. Its comprehensive information is reviewed by experts at the National Institutes of Health and kept up-to-date. There is no advertising. MedlinePlus is a free service of NIH’s National Library of Medicine.
