October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and especially in the Internet era, this is a crucial issue that affects young people all over the nation/world. Bullying has always been a problem, but these days it is even easier to harrass or torment someone via social media.
If you are being bullied, don't be afraid to tell a trusted adult, or even a peer who might be able to help with the situation. Most importantly, don't let anyone else convince you that you're not worthy of respect! Everyone is special in their own way, and it really DOES get better once you enter the "real (adult) world." That's not to say all adults are nice to each other, but actual bullying behavior is not tolerated as easily in college, workplaces, etc.
