Discover our Newest National Park

Do you know where can you explore caves, hike in an ancient volcanic field and watch the endangered California condor?

Its Pinnacles, our newest national park, about 80 miles south-east from the Bay Area. What makes it so special are the leftovers of an extinct volcano that moved about 150 miles from its original location on the San Andreas Fault.

It is best to visit Pinnacles in the cooler months of the year. The temperatures in the summer months are usually in the triple digits and not at all ideal for hiking and exploring.

But now that fall is on its way, you might consider a trip. Check out the National Park website to plan your visit.
