Forensic Analysis: Why did the World Trade Center Collapse?

Date:  June 3, 2013

Time:  7:00 pm

Why did the World Trade Center towers collapse?  The answer is more complicated than you might think.

The hijacked airliners hit the north tower first and within the hour  the south tower was hit as well.  Why, then, did the south tower collapse first?   According to some engineering experts,  the towers should have withstood the impact.   Why did they fall?  Participate in a hands-on demonstration and learn about the forensic science behind analyzing building collapses.

Evergreen Valley College Instructor Mark Okuda will give this presentation.
