Embracing allergy-friendly cooking: it's possible!

It seems like whenever someone is diagnosed with a food allergy or intolerance that automatically means that all forms of gourmet home cooking are doomed. Say goodbye to your old favorites, it's cardboard and water from here on out, right? Wrong! More and more, celebrated chefs and nutrition experts are devoting time and energy to publishing allergy-friendly cookbooks that can turn your kitchen into a place of wonder once again!

Check out the list below of some of the cookbooks available from Santa Clara County Library that are tailored to individuals and their families with food allergies and intolerances. Also, make sure you come to the Morgan Hill Library on September 6, 2012 at 7:00 PM when Certified and Trained Nutritional Educator Patti Tartaglia will be giving a special presentation on coping with food allergies and intolerances in the kitchen. Happy cooking!
