"Near Space" Adventures

On July 25, skydiver Michael Baumgartner leaped out of a balloon-lifted capsule and fell 96,640 feet before landing safely back on earth. That's 3 minutes and 48 seconds of freefall! Baumgartner is aiming at doing another "near space" skydive to break the current record of 102, 800 feet set in 1960 by Joe Kittinger.
