All libraries in the Santa Clara County Library District welcome volunteers and appreciate their contributions of time and talent to assist library staff in delivering services more efficiently and effectively. A variety of assignments are available, including Library ambassadors, building volunteers, circulation volunteers, clerical support, English as a second language (ESL) programs, tutoring with The Reading Program, PlaneTree Health Information Center volunteers, or Tech Toolbar assistants.

For more information about the available assignments and volunteer schedules, please visit or call your local library. You may also learn more about volunteering by reviewing the following application forms:

Teen Volunteer Application for volunteers 14-17 years of age. The Library does not accept volunteers under 14 years of age. For more information on teen volunteer opportunities at each library, visit our Get Involved page.

Adult Volunteer Application for volunteers 18 and over.

Volunteer applications may be returned at any library location.
