Focus on Food: Indian Cooking Class with Fharzana Elankumaran at Cupertino Library
Fharzana Elankumaran, author of the popular Indian food blog, I Heart Curry, will be at Cupertino Community Hall at 3:00 pm Saturday April 20th to give a free one hour Indian cooking class. This will be our third Focus on Food Program. The class sign-up sheet is kept at the Cupertino Adult Reference Desk, and there is still time and space available if you are interested.
Fharzana is an enthusiastic cooking teacher who encourages her students to be actively involved during each class. Her classes take her all over the San Francisco Bay Area. In her blog, she writes about how to make popular Indian dishes and how to use spices correctly for the maximum effect. In addition to her teaching, she is a trained chemist who reads scientific articles to keep abreast of current food safety issues. Fharzana only uses ingredients she knows to be fresh, safe and wholesome in her kitchen. To learn more about Fharzana in her own words, her blog can be found here.
Our fourth and final Focus on Food Program will be on Monday, April 22nd at 7:00 pm. Chef Patti Tartaglia will teach participants how to gain control over their grocery bills while preparing healthy, delicious meals.
