Everyone can have dirt, but not everyone is lucky enough to have great soil, which is what every healthy garden needs from the start. If you’ve tried gardening before, but were disappointed by the results, it might be that the soil in your garden couldn’t properly nourish the flowers and vegetables you wanted to grow.
The good news is that garden soil can be improved. On Wednesday, January 9th at 7 pm. at the Cupertino Community Hall, our Master Gardener’s series continues with Master Gardener Laura Monczynski talking about ways to get great garden soil. Participants will first learn how to test their soil to find what it lacks, and what they need to add to fix the problem. Ms. Monczynski will also talk about using compost and mulching to keep your plants green and healthy all year. Everyone is welcome, and gardeners are especially encouraged to attend.
Our next Master Gardener’s program will be on Wednesday March 13th at seven pm. in the Cupertino Community Hall. The topic will be growing great tomatoes.
