Native Plant Seed and Cutting Exchange at Cupertino Library
Cupertino Library presents Jean Struthers and Patricia Evans of the California Native Plant Society. On Thursday December 13 at 7:00 pm, they will bring one of the CNPS’s most popular events to Cupertino Community Hall—a native plant seed and cutting exchange.
Please bring native plant seeds and cuttings from your garden to show, tell and share. Also bring empty envelopes for seeds and plastic bags for cuttings and be prepared to take some new starts home to your own garden. With the rainy season underway, winter is the perfect time to sow seeds to ensure a beautiful blooming spring garden. The offerings range from easy-to-grow and hard-to-find. Gardeners just getting started with native plants are encouraged to come even if you have no seeds or cuttings to share yet—there will be plenty to go around.
Jean Struthers leads the volunteers who propagate plants for CNPS’ semi-annual plant sales, while Patricia Evans has taught “Garden Design for Homeowners” in the Palo Alto Adult Education program and also propagates many plants for the CNPS sales.
Cupertino Community Hall is next door to Cupertino Library on the Cupertino Civic Center Plaza.
