Get Culture at The Cupertino Library

If election year political arguments and ads are making you crazy, take a break from it all!

On Saturday, October 27th at 1 pm in the Cupertino Community Hall, we present  “The Art of French Fashion: New Look to Now” with De Young Museum Docent, Julia Geist. In Paris in the late 1940’s the austerity of the war years was out, and the full skirted “New Look” with its lavish use of fabrics was in -- Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Givenchy and Yves St. Laurent hit the ground running. If fashion and its history interest you, you’ll love spending ninety minutes with the people who made “the Little Black Dress” a wardrobe classic.

On Sunday, October 28th, at 2 pm in the Cupertino Community Hall, we’ll present  The Firebird Youth Chinese Orchestra for a concert played on traditional Chinese Instruments.  The Firebird Youth Chinese Orchestra promotes Chinese music as an integral part of Chinese American culture.

Both of these weekend programs are part of Cupertino Library's ongoing Fall Arts and Culture Series.  They are all generously sponsored by the Cupertino Library Foundation. For a complete listing of our Fall Arts and Culture Series event dates, please click here.
