Sleep and Health

Millions are suffering from chronic sleep disorders.  Chronic sleep disorders frequently associate with other serious chronic diseases.  Join Dr. Eddie Cheng and Kristina Liu to learn the common causes and treatments for insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea.  The presentation is followed by a Q&A session. 

Dr. Eddie Cheng, MD PhD is a board certified physician and Stanford clinical Instructor in Family Medicine with 30 years of clinical and teaching experience in diagnosis and behavioral treatment of chronic sleep disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic headaches and TMJ disorders.

Kristina Liu RPSGT, PhD is a registered sleep technologist with experience in laboratory and home test diagnosis of sleep disorders, CPAP treatment management and compliance.

This program will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2:00 -3:30 p.m. in the Community Room on the lower level of the Campbell Library. 

Our library also has several resources on the topic of sleep and health. 

For example, the Consumer Reports magazine has a good article on "How to select a pillow."  You can access the electronic version of Consumer Reports from home with your library card number and pin.
