Are TV commercials about the election Propositions making it more confusing?

The Campbell Library has free Easy Voter Guides, containing nonpartisan information on local propositions, prepared by the League of Women Voters of California and the California State Library.   These guides are great if you want to know more about the issues but don’t have a lot of time.  What happens if the proposition passes?  What is the effect on the state budget?  It’s clear, short, and easy to understand.  As it says in the booklet, “There are 11 state propositions in this election.  You do not have to vote on everything!  Learn about propositions that are important to you and make your choice, YES or NO.”  These booklets are in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean.  For more information about the propositions, go to the California Secretary of State main website, http://voterguide.sos.ca.gov/propositions/
