About the Harry Potter books:

J.K. RowlingThe author J.K. Rowling published the first book in the series in the UK in 1997. Before becoming an international sensation the story of Harry Potter was rejected by nine publishers and it was finally picked up by Bloomsbury Publishing. The story of Harry came to Rowlings while riding on a train. Today Harry Potter is loved by millions of children and adults alike and Rowling went on to write six more volumes in the series. Since its inception there has also been an entire franchise of Harry Potter movies. It has become such a classic in children’s literature because it has all the right ingredients for a successful children’s book: a school story, an orphan story, a friendship chronicle and the struggle between good and evil.

Now it’s your turn to be part of the magic that is Harry Potter by designing your own idea of one of the book covers. For books on drawing, visit our catalog.

Happy drawing!
