National Recovery Month

Free from Addiction Free from Addiction

September is National Recovery Month. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration created this national campaign to educate people about mental health conditions such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders, and provide resources for overcoming substance abuse disorders. Check out the campaign website to learn more.

SCCLD also has resources to help you learn more about mental health and substance abuse, and to help you or your loved ones live a full and healthy life with these conditions.

  • Visit PlaneTree, our health information center to find information on a wide range of health issues.
  • Also take a look at our Teen Help Services for local and national hotlines dealing with suicide prevention, counseling, and drug prevention programs.
  • We also have a wide range of books, videos, and ebooks about Substance Abuse, and Mental Health. Ask a librarian for help finding the right titles for you.
