I think we can all agree that some of the best, most flavorful food in the world originates from the multitude of cuisines found in Asia and its surrounding islands. The only problem? Though generally quite healthy in its original preparation, in America, a lot of Asian cuisine is seriously high in calories, fat, salt and more. One order of combination Lo Mein at P.F. Chang’s has 1041 calories with 42 grams of fat and 4239 grams of sodium! That’s like eating two Big Macs! One order of Spicy Cashew Chicken at the Cheesecake Factory has 1810 calories with 23 grams of fat and 4450 grams of sodium. That’s like eating nine Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
