As many of our regular patrons already know, the Woodland Branch Library suffered from flood damage after the big storm on December 23rd. After a two-week closure and difficult cleanup, we are now back in action - with the photos to remember our ordeal! To make a bad situation into a little fun, we've decided to hold a caption contest for this photo taken from the flood (featuring our beautiful "Thinker" statue). Anyone who wishes to contribute a funny caption can do so at the branch, by putting their entry and contact information on a post-it at the reference desk... entries will be accepted through February 1st, and the winner will receive a small prize (TBD). We are very happy no permanent damage was done, and the Thinker is glad his feet didn't get wet.

To quote one of our librarians who saw the photo, WWMPD - What would Michael Phelps do?cool
