"We Are America" K-8 Art Contest: now through October 26!

There's still time to enter the Library's We Are America art contest! Children in grades K-8 are invited to draw, paint, color, collage, or submit a photo up to 8.5 x 11 (a regular size piece of paper) based on the theme "We Are America," part of the Library's California Reads: Searching for Democracy program.

The contest runs through Friday, October 26.  Entry forms and details are available at the Children's Information Desk at all of our libraries.  Winning entries will be chosen by a panel of judges including local Library Commissioners and teachers.  Those artworks will be on display at our libraries from November - February.

Winners will also receive a 150 piece art supply kit, pictured above!

Check out this great article on the art contest in the Campbell Reporter.  We look forward to seeing your artwork!
