Countdown to the 2013 Hugos: The Graphic Novels

The 2013 Hugo Awards for best science fiction and fantasy works are coming this fall, and the nominees have been announced! For the first three years of its existence this award was won by Girl Genius, the hit webcomic by Phil and Kaja Folio (now available in print at your local SCCLD!). Last year the award went to the wombat-centric webcomic Digger. Who will take home the prize this year? Let's take a look at the contenders.

Grandville Bete Noire

A tale of star-crossed love, worlds at war and a young family on the run, Saga will fill all of your science fiction/ fantasy needs. It's got beautiful art and fantastic story-telling, so be sure to pick this up at your nearest SCCL.

Shlock Mercenary
