It's Like, Shakespeare, Man!

    Many of Shakespeare's plays have been adapted for the screen, and we have an abundance of choices when it comes to viewing a Shakespeare film.  We can see Kenneth Branagh as "Hamlet" in the longest version of the play, Mel Gibson in a more abbreviated adaptation, or Ethan Hawke delivering "To Be or Not To Be" in a video store.  Still, all of these movies are straight adaptations of Shakespeare plays.

    But did you know that movies like "Ten Things I Hate About You" and "She's the Man" are based on Shakespeare's plays?  Come to think of it, Shakespeare seems to translate awfully well to the American high school setting.  It must be all the intrigue, jealousies and power struggles that go on!
