Starting a Book Club

Posted on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 by Lolo_Librarian

The Santa Clara County Library branches have a number of book clubs you can join, including Woodland's very own Adult Club, which meets on the second Tuesday (at 2pm) of every month. But if you are interested in starting your very own book club, we also have many resources available to assist you in getting started.

Did you know we have book club KITS available for checkout? These kits include 10-12 copies of the title, usually one in large type, along with a booklet which includes discussion questions and facts. The easiest way to find these is to enter our advanced search, then select "Book Club Kit" under the Formats heading... while there you can also narrow it down by age level, fiction vs non-fiction, and a few other parameters using the drop-down menu selections. If you are looking specifically for a teen/YA kit, select "Book Discussion Collection" in the Collections menu. Last but not least, have a great time!
