To celebrate the birthday of writer and illustrator Edward Gorey (1925-2000) on February 22, the bookstore at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco is hosting a special evening of Gorey-themed entertainment. February 19th is Japanese American Internment Remembrance Day, and this year marks the 70th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, which authorized the creation of detention facilities and eventually cleared the way for the relocation of Japanese-American citizens to internment camps.
