We get drinks from vending machines all the time.  Many of us probably don’t pay much attention to how many calories are in those beverages….but times are changing.

The American Beverage Association announced its efforts of executing an initiative called “Calories Count.”  From now on, the number of calories in a beverage will be displayed on the vending machine buttons that are pressed to select drinks.

Calculating daily calorie intake is a crucial component in weight control.  There are many resources that can help you increase knowledge on this topic.  The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has written a good article with comprehensive information regarding calories and drinks.

Santa Clara County Library District cares for your health. In our catalog, you can see many collections on  counting calorie, low-calorie recipe and so on.
