Sports Gaming: Athletic Glory for the Common Man

Some people are blessed with amazing physical gifts: blazing speed, astounding leaping ability, precise hand-eye coordination. These incredible human specimens often end up playing sports at high levels, and go on to become the athletes of legend, gaining immense fame and adoration for their skill and achievements

...and then there are the rest of us.

Most of us will never know what it's like to put on a jersey for a professional team. We will never feel the thrill and the stress of facing a high-pressure moment with millions of people watching, waiting to witness the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. We will never take that last-second buzzer beating shot, stare down a batter with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, or fling a Hail Mary pass to the end zone with the clock running out.

What we normal folk do have is the ability to simulate these moments through the magic of technology. The latest generation of sports games allows you to experience on field action with incredibly realistic graphics and physics. Most of these games also allow you to play GM and build your team over multiple seasons, or create and customize your own player and experience an entire professional career.
