Exploring the Unsung Grammy Awards

The 2013 Grammy Awards are being presented this Sunday, February 9th and while there is a lot of talk about if Frank Ocean or Fun. or Mumford and Sons is going to get the award, we don't hear a lot about the many other categories of music being recognized.
The general field categories of the Grammys like "Album of the Year" "Song of the Year" or "Best New Artist" tend to get all the publicity but there are many categories that are never shown on television where great music is being celebrated. I call these the unsung Grammy awards because we rarely hear of these awards even though the music is often remarkable.
Recent winners we didn't hear so much about include:
Barton Hollow Best Folk Album
The Mosaic Project Best Jazz Vocal Album
Hilarious Best Comedy Album
The Book of Mormon Best Musical Theater Album
All of these are wonderful but their Grammy winning status is mostly unknown.
