Countdown to the 2012 Hugo Awards: The Nominated Novels

The Hugo awards are coming!  The Hugo Awards are coming!  Science fiction's longest running and most popular award is going to be announced very soon on September 2nd. In anticipation, I will be highlighting the nominees in a few categories that you can check out at any SCCLD library. 

The Hugo award was first given out in 1953 and named for Hugo Gernsback, who founded the science fiction magazine Amazing Stories. The awards are given out each year from a science fiction convention.  This year the 70th convention will be held in Chicago, Illinois.
