Seabiscuit: An American Legend

Posted on Thursday, January 17, 2013 by Cupertino_Library

This month, the Cupertino Library Adult Book discussion will discuss the January selection, Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand.  Seabiscuit was never much to look at as Thoroughbreds go, but he had three men who believed in him. And he had the most important thing for a race horse--speed. During his racing career in the late 1930’s, he became one of the most famous racehorses in American history.

The Cupertino Library Adult Book Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday evening of each month in the Library story room at 7 pm. Adults of all ages are welcome.  If you miss a meeting, you can pick up a copy of the next month’s selection at the Adult Reference Desk  after the meeting.  All meetings are kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Cupertino Library.

The book for February will be Minefields of the Heart: A Mother’s Stories of a Son At War, by Sue Diaz. This is one of the Silicon Valley Reads titles for 2013.
