A Talk on Shen Yun At Cupertino Library

Posted on Thursday, February 14, 2013 by Cupertino_Library

Almost wiped out by the Cultural Revolution in the 1960’s, Shen Yun is currently enjoying a renaissance both in China and abroad.  Shen Yun is a representation of Chinese culture as it once was.

For centuries, Chinese civilization has influenced not only Asia, but the world. However, for Western audiences, it can be enigmatic and difficult to understand. The mission of Shen Yun is not only to revive traditional Chinese performing and visual arts but to make Chinese culture more accessible to and appreciated by the rest of the world.

To learn more about Shen Yun, please join us at Cupertino Community Hall on Sunday, February 17th at 2 p.m.
