What happens to a family when a soldier father comes home from combat in Iraq severely disabled by physical and brain injuries? For the Browning family, of Julia Keller’s young adult novel, Back Home, adjusting to the new reality is tough on everyone. The husband and father who left them months ago has come back a profoundly changed man.
As part of 2013’s Silicon Valley Reads events, Cupertino Library presents a staged reading of Back Home on:

This reading will feature Kim Vestal, Sal Pizarro and Elizabeth Monley in the adult roles with Brian Adams as the narrator. Sophie Sinsigalli, Mia Fong and Lukas Brockenbrough will play the roles of the three Browning children. Directed by Shannon Edwards. There will be a discussion session with Julia Keller following the performance.
