Master Gardeners: All About Lawns and Lawn Replacements

Posted on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 by Cupertino_Library

If you have a love-hate relationship with your lawn, maybe it’s time to consider some alternatives. If you’re concerned about our environment as well as fed up with watering and mowing, there are more ecological choices for your front garden than the classic American green lawn. Come to Cupertino Library’s Master Gardeners: All About Lawns and Lawn Replacements Program on Wednesday November 14 at 7:00 pm, for some brainstorming. Even if you’re not yet ready to replace your lawn, Master Gardener Marianne Mueller will give you some easy lawn care tips you can use right away.

If you feel ready for a bold change, Marianne will talk next about gardening ideas using drought-resistant native grasses and plants, trees and planting boxes for a whole new 21st Century concept of curb appeal. This program will be held at Cupertino Community Hall, next door to the library on the Civic Center Plaza. Everyone is welcome, and gardeners are especially encouraged to attend.
