New Chinese Magazines at Campbell Library

Posted on Friday, September 28, 2012 by Campbell_Library_Staff

Campbell Library subscribes to a variety of Chinese magazines on numerous subjects.  This year, we added four new titles in the areas of health, parenting, cooking and fashion respectively.

If you are interested in any of the new Chinese magazines, we invite you to come to the library to take a look.  All current issues are for library use only; the past issues have a three-week loan period.   Enjoy the magazines!

健康世界(Health World) is a monthly health magazine that provides the latest information and discussions regarding controversial health issues, clinical trials, surgical procedures, food science, nutrition, DNA studies, traditional versus alternative medicines, effectiveness of acupuncture and so on.

親子天下(Education, Parenting, Family Lifestyle) is a best-seller and award winning parenting magazine. Since its first issue was published in August 2008, this monthly magazine has won the prestigious Golden Tripod Award twice, an equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize in Taiwan.   This monthly magazine covers comprehensive information on various parenting and educational topics such as e-learning, advice for stress management, tips for finding quality after-school care, teaching kids about money management and so on.

快樂廚房雜誌 (Happy Kitchen) is a bi-monthly magazine featuring colorful gourmet recipes for homemade dishes, traditional snacks, famous local cuisines, etc.  Each recipe contains concise information on ingredients and cooking steps.  In addition, every issue covers a discussion of a special topic such as how to make marinated sauce or pastry dough, tips on cooking beans, and so forth.
This magazine is a good choice for you if you are preparing a potluck meal or a party dish.

艾美時尚(Ami) is a monthly  magazine for women.  This magazine contains trendy information on fashion, clothing, make-up and thrift-shopping for young women.

LATELY THERE IS NO KOREAN TV DRAMA WITH MANDARIN OR KOREAN LANGUAGE. IT WILL BE GREAT IF THE LIBRARY CAN ADD NEW KOREAN TV DRAMA DUBBED CHINESE LANGUAGE.

BEST REGARDS,
