Thinking about starting a small business?  If you are, one of the most valuable resources for California startups is Calgold.  

Calgold is a CA state site that helps small business owners find all of the permits necessary to start a business.  It lists city, county, state and federal agencies that regulate your particular industry, along with contact information and web links for each agency.  

Let's say you want to start a landscaping business in Campbell.  Go to the Calgold site (calgold.ca.gov) and follow these steps:

  1. Type in "landscaping"
  2. Choose "Landscape Services"
