Get ready to be amazed when you visit the California Academy of Sciences with your free Discover & Go museum pass.  Every month, SCCLD will receive 17 passes, each covering entry into the museum for one adult and one child.

Visit the California Academy of Sciences online (http://www.calacademy.org/) where you can preview these and other highlights of the museum:

  • Steinhart Museum—home to 38,000 live animals from around the world, representing over 900 separate species.

  • Morrison Planetarium – sit in the world’s largest all-digital planetarium and see the night sky in a whole new way!

  • Kimball Natural History Museum- perfect for the scientist in all of us.  Go on a virtual safari in Africa, explore the Islands of Madagascar and the Galapagos or experience a high magnitude earthquake in the earthquake simulator.

  • Rainforests of the World – Four stories tall, this is the largest spherical rainforest exhibit in the world.

Are you looking for something new and exciting to do this summer?  What are you waiting for?  Visit our Discover & Go page to sign up for this or other Bay Area museums.   All you need is your Santa Clara County Library District library card

Another helpful new Discover and Go feature has been added for anyone who reserves a museum pass:  It is now possible to view your pass(es) multiple times and still be able to cancel – IMPORTANT NOTE:  a pass cannot be canceled once the "Print Pass" button has been clicked.
