Update: Library Measure A Ballot

Measure A, the all-mail ballot recently sent to residents in the Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) service area, has passed by 81%.

Measure A accounts for 18 percent of SCCLD revenue and is needed to maintain library hours and services.  These special tax funds help keep qualified librarians on staff, provide an award-winning bookmobile program, maintain children’s reading programs and purchase needed books and up-to-date research materials.  The revenue collected is returned directly to each local library where the tax originated, and is used to buy new materials and to fund open hours.
