On Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 the Space Shuttle Endeavour will salute NASA Ames and Northern California with a low-level fly over of NASA Ames Research Center before Endeavour's permanent installation at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The approximate fly over time is 9:00 to -9:30 a.m., weather permitting. To commemorate the event and celebrate NASA Ames' contribution to the Space Program, the Center will hold a public event at Bldg 158 at the Moffett Field airfield, starting at 6:00 a.m. on the 20th. The program will include a welcome by Ames Center Director S. Pete Worden, informational booths and presentations highlighting Ames' contributions to the Space Shuttle program.
