Two Ways to Apply for a Library Card

In person:

• Fill out Library Card Application

• Bring form to Accounts Desk at any of the libraries in the Santa Clara County Library District  or the Bookmobile.  You must provide your date of birth and present a valid form of identification showing your picture, name, and proof of your current address to complete your registration. (Acceptable forms of proof of address)

online:

• Go to our Account Login page and click the "Get a card" button to complete the online form. 

• Visit any Santa Clara County Library within 30 days and provide your date of birth along with a valid form of identification showing your picture, name, and proof of your current address to complete your registration and receive your card. (Acceptable forms of proof of address)

Why the $80 fee for non-district residents?
