Live tutoring, homework help and skills building is offered by Brainfuse to a couple of different age groups:

K-College
Students in grades K-College can submit a question and receive live, one-on-one assistance from a Brainfuse tutor. Subjects include:

  • Social Studies
  • Writing

Adult Learners
Adults can receive live online help from a trained adult education specialists in areas such as:

  • US Citizenship testing
  • GED testing
  • Resume and cover letter writing
  • Business letter writing
  • Term paper writing
  • Core subject education
    • English/Language Arts
    • Math, Science
    • Social Studies
    • Writing

In addition the "Microsoft Office Center" is designed to help you learn how to better use:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Excel
  • Power Point

What is the difference between "Live Help" and "Skills Building"?

  • Live Help: When you need help with your homework, submit a question and receive live, one-on-one assistance.
  • Skills Building: If you need help with a specific academic skill, such as mastering long division or improving your reading comprehension, select “Skills Building” and you will be connected with a live tutor.

What subjects are offered?

Live Tutoring, Homework Help and Skill Building is available for students in grades K – Adult Learners in the following subjects:

  • Math, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus

  • Science, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science

  • Social Studies, including US History, and World History

  • English/Language Arts

    1. Writing Assistance consists of three components:

      1. Live writing assistance during the initial stages of the writing process to help students with organizational structure, idea trees, general conceptual hierarchy, etc.

      2. State-aligned skills building exercises that challenge students to respond to a series of writing prompts and short exercises.

      3. 24-Hour Writing Lab

    2. Reading Comprehension/Grammar/Vocabulary Skills Building through one-on-one sessions that draw from our library of state-aligned reading passages and questions.

  • Spanish Language Help 

Can I get help with my writing assignment or essay?

  • Live Help: Connect with a Brainfuse tutor for expert writing assistance through the "Live Help" feature. Live help is particularly helpful during the initial stages of the writing process when you are working on the organizational and thematic features of your paper.
  • Writing Lab: For a more thorough analysis, simply select "Writing Lab" from the launch menu and submit your writing via the secure messaging feature. Within approximately 24 hours of submitting your paper, you will receive a detailed analysis of your paper in your "Message Center" inbox. Writing experts at Brainfuse are trained to focus their analysis on voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and organization.

Do you offer help with tests?

  • Visit the "Test Center" to take practice standardized tests (SAT, ACT) or practice subject specific tests, like Math and Science.
  • The "Adult Learning Center" offers GED and US Citizenship tests. Get results instantly and, if you choose, share them with a tutors for a targeted skills building session by utilizing the "Test Center" for Adults Learners.

Do you offer assistance with learning a foreign language?

Students receive live online help with their foreign language homework from our fluent foreign language tutors. Spanish is the first language supported and we will update as additional languages and resources become available

What is "Brainwave"?

"Brainwave" is a tool that allows you to record a movie of your activity on the Brainfuse whiteboard. Create brainwaves for note-taking purposes or send them when an ordinary email isn't enough. Brainwave is ideal for recording solutions to homework problems, class projects, or nay other concepts that involve motion or sequencing. Create a Brainwave or search our Brainwave archive by keyword. Check back often as new Brainwaves are continuously added to the archive.

What is "Flashbulb"?

Enjoy 24/7 access to an extensive library of online flashcard sets in hundreds of subjects. You can also create your own flashcards and multiple choice quizzes for efficient self-study on both computers and mobile devices.

What is "Meet"?

Study with friends online with "Meet". Meet lets you easily schedule online meetings with your friends in the Brainfuse classroom. Use Meet to study for tests, work on homework assignments, or collaborate on projects.
