Policy for Library online book discussions and reviews

The Library’s online book discussions and reviews are moderated, which means comments may be reviewed before posting to assure that they are on topic.

The Library must post all on-topic comments provided they do not incite illegal activity. We expect that participants will treat each other, as well as the Library and our employees, with respect. We will not post comments that are clearly “off topic”. Participants are fully responsible for everything that they submit in their comments, and all posted comments are in the public domain. We do not discriminate against any views, but we reserve the right not to post comments that are clearly “off topic”.

Any references to commercial entities, products, services, or other nongovernmental organizations or individuals that remain on the site are provided solely for the information of individuals using the Library’s online book discussions and reviews. Public comments should be limited to sharing book reviews, reading recommendations, and book discussions. Blog comments are not the proper place to express opinions or beliefs not directly related to book reviews, reading recommendations, and book discussions; such comments will not be posted.

The blog is not open to comments promoting or opposing any person campaigning for election to a political office or promoting or opposing any ballot proposition.

The blog is not open to the promotion or advertisement of a business or commercial transaction.
